This project and the work with Daniel has touched me deeply and left a lasting impression on me. The contact to him was established through a mutual friend from Sweden. He said to me: "Juliane. You absolutely must get to know Daniel Wester. He'll blow your mind." He was right. The first time I talked to Daniel I realised how sensitive, emotional and incredibly creative he is. I was thrilled and wanted to make a film about him. So I flew to Sweden in March 2020 with my boyfriend who works as Director of Photography and our little 11-month-old baby. We shot three days with Daniel - under special conditions. We only had a small suitcase of equipment with us and of course our baby. While Marco was filming with Daniel, I was directing with the baby around the belly - and during the interview Marco had to walk with the little one for hours. But these circumstances made the shoot so wonderfully familiar and intense. Daniel trusted us from the very beginning and opened up - I would like to thank him for that. You, dear Daniel, made the film so special.
